It has been a few weeks since the Berlin Wall Race 2018. We would like to congratulate again all finishers! The preparation for the 100 Miles Berlin on 18 / 19 August 2019 have started about a month ago. Among other things, we have decided to change the time keeping provider. The cooperation with the company race result from Hamburg comprises the entire registration process, timekeeping during the race and the provision of the results after the race.
We are proud to look back to a terrific event. 324 individual runners have successfully finished the Berlin Wall Race 2018. In addition, 109 relay teams reached the finish line in the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Stadium.
Two course records have been set. Monika Biegasiewicz from Poland was the fastest women ever in the history of the Berlin Wall Race. She finished in 15:29:48 hours. The 4-relay-team of the FH Runner Berlin also reached a new course record in 11:58:38 hours.
A highlight of this years race was our commemorative action. We had asked you to donate children’s toys in order to commemorate the youngest victim of the Berlin Wall, Joerg Hartmann. The result was overwhelming and the children’s eyes were shining when we handed over your donations to the Johanniter kindergartens. Thank you all so much for your donations!
