Get Ready

Dear participants,

we are pleased that the 10th Berlin Wall Race on 13/14 August, 2022 is able to take place.

Currently, the infection numbers in Berlin and generally in Germany are at a high level. Every day, we receive emails from participants who have to cancel their participation due to a corona infection as well as those still looking for someone to take their place.

The risk of catching the virus without realizing it in the lead up to the race is significant. And potentially, a negative test result may not even be accurate. Everyone can play their part in helping to reduce this risk for themselves and others. We therefore kindly ask you to:

  • Wear a surgical or FFP2 mask indoors (especially when picking up start numbers, at the briefing and the award ceremony in the hotel).
  • Test yourself immediately before the event (Friday and Saturday).
  • If you have cold symptoms (even if the test is negative), please do not take part in the race, for the sake of your own health and that of your fellow runners.

Please remember: Carrying a (folding) cup is mandatory this year. There will be no cups at the refreshment stations!

We also recommend carrying at least 0.5 liters of drink and a rescue blanket (gold foil) with you. Depending on the weather conditions, the race director reserves the right to declare this mandatory (to be advised at the briefing).

Please note an FFP2 mask or KN95 mask is currently required for public transport in Berlin and Brandenburg! You’ll need it anyhow at the hotel.

We – the race organizers – are doing everything to ensure the event will be just as great as all the previous Wall Races! And we know that’s exactly what you want too. It is only with your support that we can make the 10th Wall Race an unforgettable highlight. Please be responsible and help prevent the spread of the coronavirus – even if it gets annoying at times. Together we can do it!!

Kind regards,

The 10th Berlin Wall Race organizers
