QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ISSUE OF BIBS/START NUMBERS

When and where are the bibs/start numbers distributed?

They are available on the Friday before the run from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the H4 Hotel on Alexanderplatz (Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 32). To avoid large crowds, we recommend individual runners to collect their starting documents by 3:00 p.m. Relays should come in the morning.

For single runners

What do I have to bring to the start number distribution?

A medical certificate stating that you are fit and healthy enough to take part. No start is possible without the certificate! To be on the safe side, please also bring ID (e.g., passport or driver’s license) with you.

What must the certificate contain?

The medical certificate must include your doctor’s assessment that there are no health concerns preventing you from running over 100 miles. (If you are a doctor yourself, please have the certificate issued by a colleague). Only certificates that are less than 1 year old, legible and bear the doctor’s stamp and signature will be accepted. Without this, the bib/start number will not be issued.

Is there a medical certificate form I can use?

Yes. We recommend the DUV certificate, which you can download here.

Do I have to hand in the certificate beforehand?

No, it is enough if you present it to us for inspection.

Can I send the certificate in advance?

No, unfortunately that is not possible. You must bring it with you when you collect your bib/start number.

Can I have someone else pick up the starting documents?

We ask that you collect it personally.

Will I get my finisher shirt when I get the bib/start number?

No. Our finisher shirt is a real finisher shirt. It will be given to you in the stadium after crossing the finish line.

For all participants

My companion cannot come to the bib/start number distribution. Can he still accompany me?

Yes.

I cannot attend the briefing. Can I still start?

Participation in the briefing is compulsory for all participants, including those accompanying them. It is also in your own best interest because important and current information about the course, marking, rules and behavior on the route are given there.

For relay teams

Does the entire relay have to appear for the bib/start number issue?

No, the entire relay does not have to appear to pick up the starting documents.

Does the entire relay have to attend the briefing?

No, participation is only required for the relay captain or a representative. The relay captain is obliged to pass on the information received to his relay team participants.
